Brickmaking in West Virginia since 1917

Continental Brick Company manufactures brick in Martinsburg, West Virginia. Its work includes homes, schools, churches and commercial buildings. Krebs carries the Continental line and can help you compare styles and discuss your project.

    Start with the style

Explore the manufacturer’s numbered and named brick styles, then save your choices to My Project. Sample photographs show color and texture; mortar, lighting and production variation affect the finished appearance. Ask Krebs for a physical sample and confirmation of available sizes, quantities and timing.

    Consider thin brick

Continental describes its thin brick as typically ½ inch thick, with 1-inch pieces also possible. The manufacturer discusses interior and exterior wall applications using scratch-coat or panel systems. Confirm the appropriate assembly with your installer and ask Krebs about the chosen style, face dimensions and corner pieces. The full-brick style range does not establish availability of every style as thin brick.

    Discuss custom details

Continental welcomes requests for custom colors and sizes, jack arches and other shapes. Bring drawings, dimensions, the intended application and your preferred brick style. Custom work requires confirmation of geometry, finish, quantity and timing.

Confirm the specification for your selection

Continental states that its brick is manufactured to relevant ASTM specifications including C216, Grade SW, Types FBS and FBX. This is a manufacturer-level statement. Request current documentation for the exact selected product and have your project team confirm the required specification; it is not a product-specific test report or certification.

Selection guidance helps you prepare a conversation. Confirm technical requirements and installation details with your builder or installer and the applicable manufacturer documents.
